What is frosting?

When getting laser tattoo removal you may notice an immediate white/cloudy layer on the surface of the tattoo - especially with black tattoos.

This is frosting.

Frosting is caused by gas bubbles rising to the surface of the skin when the laser hits the ink. It's only temporary and will last around 10-15 minutes.

In most cases you will see a reduction in frosting with each session.
